"If you fear the Lord and serve Him and obey His voice, and do not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then both you and the king who reigns over you will continue following  Lord your God."
1 SA 12:14 KJV
When you
1. Fear the Lord :
  • "The reverent fear and worship of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom and skill [the preceding and the first essential, the prerequisite and the alphabet]; a good understanding, wisdom, and meaning have all those who do [the will of the Lord]. Their praise of Him endures forever."  PS 111:10 AMP

  • "Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him." Psalm 34:8-10  "But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children."  PS 103:17 NKJ
2. Serve Him
  • "Only fear the LORD, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you."         1 Samuel 12:24

  • “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts..."   1 Chronicles 28:9
3. Obey His Voice
  • "But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. When you are in distress, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, when you turn to the LORD your God and obey His voice  (for the LORD your God is a merciful God), He will not forsake you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them."    Deuteronomy 4:29 - 31

  • "Now therefore,” he said, “put away the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to the LORD God of Israel.”   And the people said to Joshua, “The LORD our God we will serve, and His voice we will obey!”  Joshua 24:23-25 NKJV
4.  Do not rebel against the commandment  of the Lord
  • "But if you do not obey the LORD, and if you rebel against his commands, his hand will be against you, as it was against your ancestors." 1 Samuel 12:15

You and your leader (or the ministry that you serve) will continue in the things of God.
