The First Act of Service - Serve the Lord

The first act of service for a Minister of Helps is to serve the Lord.  That is the foundation and reason for your service in the kingdom. Serve the Lord!

 “Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!  Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the LORD, He is God;  It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.” Psalm 100:1-3  (NKJV)

The Amplified says it like this "Serve the Lord with gladness! Come before His presence with singing! Know (perceive, recognize, and understand with approval) that the Lord is God! It is He Who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His]! We are His people and the sheep of His pasture." 

We must obtain an intimate personal knowledge of God.  Understanding all that He has done for each and every one of us.   We don't belong to ourselves.  Submitting yourself to God with your whole heart will compel you to serve God's people. We must chose to serve Him.
