Public Invited To Let's Move! Webinar On Nov. 29 Topic: Creating faith ministries and community programs to combat childhood obesity...

The Let's Move! campaign will host a live webinar this Thursday, Nov. 29, as part of the Let's Move Faith and Communities sub-component, which coordinates the participation of religious and neighborhood organizations in First Lady Michelle Obama's childhood obesity initiative. During the 2:00 PM ET event, Sue Heitmuller, Manager of Health Ministry and Community Benefits for Adventist HealthCare, will "offer thoughts on the important role of health in faith settings and provide an overview on how to develop health leadership in your community," according to Let's Move!.

The webinar is free but registration is required for access to the livestream. Heitmuller will be joined onscreen by "other community leaders" for the discussion, according to Let's Move!.

Mrs. Obama launched Let's Move! Faith and Communities in November of 2010 in an effort to bring leaders and members of churches, synagogues, mosques, and temples into the Let's Move! fold, as well as large-scale community organizations, such as Scouting and Boys and Girls Clubs. The subcomponent has been identified by Mrs. Obama's team as crucial to the success of her initiative. When she marked the second anniversary of Let's Move! last year, Mrs. Obama delivered the keynote address at Northland, a Church Distributed in Longwood, Florida. Speaking to an audience of more than 3,000, Mrs. Obama called on faith leaders to join her campaign.

Download the Let's Move Faith and Communities Toolkit.

Adventist HealthCare is based in Rockville, Maryland and has multiple locations in that state and New Jersey. It is "is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization of dedicated professionals who work together each day to provide excellent wellness, disease management and health-care services to the community," according to the website.

*Visit LetsMove.gov for more information about the campaign.

Watch Of The Lord - A Prophetic Encounerter

"The Battle Hymn of the Republic"

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord:
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword:
His truth is marching on.

(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.
I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps,
They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps;
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps:
His day is marching on.
(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His day is marching on.

I have read a fiery gospel writ in burnished rows of steel:
"As ye deal with my contemners, so with you my grace shall deal;
Let the Hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with his heel,
Since God is marching on."
(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Since God is marching on.
He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment-seat:
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet!
Our God is marching on.
(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Our God is marching on.
In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me:
As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free,
While God is marching on.
(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
While God is marching on.
He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave,
He is Wisdom to the mighty, He is Succour to the brave,
So the world shall be His footstool, and the soul of Time His slave,
Our God is marching on.
(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Our God is marching on.

"The Battle Hymn of the Republic" is a hymn by American writer Julia Ward Howe using the music from the song "John Brown's Body". Howe's more famous lyrics were written in November 1861 and first published in The Atlantic Monthly in February 1862. The song links the judgment of the wicked at the end of time (New Testament) with the American Civil War. Since that time it has become an extremely popular and well-known American patriotic song.

"... among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.  But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,   even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),"  Ephesians 2:3-5 (NKJV)

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS:

Take advantage of every opportunity to tidy up by finishing the things you started a few months ago.  Take care of unfinished business and take the next step that will release you from dreaded and daunting responsibilities.  That which is required of you is not as menacing as you have imagined.  Just move ahead one step at a time until you have accomplished your goal, says the Lord.  You must do this in order to find the spiritual freedom that comes as a result of being unencumbered.  Freedom awaits!
1 Peter 1:6-7  In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Benefits of the Word of the Lord

"The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul.  The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.  The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous."

Psalm 19:7-9  (NIV)
Lord we decree and declare:
The Word of the Lord is perfect and it is refreshing to our souls. It nourishes us,  we live  by it.   Jesus said “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God" Matthew 4:4  The Word is trustworthy.  It remains the same since the day God spoke them. "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” Isaiah 40:8 It causes the simple minded to be wise    "If any of us lacks wisdom, we ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it is given to us".James 1:5 "For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does." Psalm 33: 3 - 5  "When your words come, we  will eat  them; they are our joy and our heart’s delight, for we bear your name, LORD God Almighty".Jeremiah 15:16 "The entrance of Your words gives light;" Psalm 119:130 "The LORD is our light and our salvation; Whom shall we fear? The LORD is the strength of our  lives; Of whom shall we be afraid?" Psalm 27:1 "Let all the earth fear the LORD; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him."Psalm 33:8 "Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him".Proverbs 30:5 "The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever"Psalm 119:160 We thank you for your word Lord.

It is in Jesus Name that we pray.

Verse of the Day 3/22/2012 "Understanding

"Hezekiah spoke encouragingly to all the Levites, who showed good understanding of the service of the LORD."
  2 Chronicles 30:22 a

Fellow servants of the Lord show a good understanding of the service of the Lord.  "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. "2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJV) I pray "that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the  saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power" Ephesians 1:17-19  (NKJV).

Verse of the Day 3/21/2012 "Understanding"

"God spoke to Moses: "See what I've done; I've personally chosen Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur of the tribe of Judah. I've filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him skill and know-how and expertise in every kind of craft to create designs and work in gold, silver, and bronze; to cut and set gemstones; to carve wood—he's an all-around craftsman."
Exodus 31:2-4 (MSG)

Know that the Lord has personally chosen you and filled you with His Spirit. Giving you the skill and know-how and to be expert at what He has called you to do.  Don't doubt what the Lord has done .  It was His Choice. His will and His way is perfect.  Walk in the way of the Lord and you will prosper.

Verse of the Day 2/22/2012 "Serve

"Servants, respectfully obey your earthly masters but always with an eye to obeying the real master, Christ. Don't just do what you have to do to get by, but work heartily, as Christ's servants doing what God wants you to do. And work with a smile on your face, always keeping in mind that no matter who happens to be giving the orders, you're really serving God. Good work will get you good pay from the Master, regardless of whether you are slave or free."

Ephesians 6:5-8 (MSG)

I pray that we in the Body of Christ remember every day that Jesus is Lord. I declare that He is the Lord of our work in the kingdom and in our earthly places of employment.  I ask for grace and mercy as we go through our day to day activities.  May people see us and recognize that we have been with Jesus.  May we be true kingdom  representatves at our work places.

Amen

Verse of the Day 2/21/201 "Serve"

“Go, the LORD said to me,and lead the people on their way, so that they may enter and possess the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.'  And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the LORD’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?"

Deuteronomy 10:11-13
New International Version (NIV)

I pray that those who lead will lead us into to all the promises of God and for all of us doing the work of the ministry; reverently fear the Lord our God; walk in obedince to Him and love Him with all our hearts and souls.  I pray that we would observe the commands and the decrees that are in His word.

A Prayer for when Anger has You by the Throat

Once again, Lord Jesus Christ, I face the power of anger... When I am harmed by another,
or think myself to have been,
give me patience
to go to that person with a humble spirit,
seeking to be reconciled.
When I am outraged by injustice,
show me clearly how I too must repent
of complicity in this world's broken systems,
and cover me in your mercy.

When I can neither rest nor work
because of the indignation that stirs my spirit,
teach me the power of forgiveness
and the freedom of love.

Deliver me from anger,
that I might not be consumed by its fire
but turn the great energy of my soul
toward a desire to serve you
and your little ones.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, thank you for saving us by your grace. I Love and Praise You Lord, In Thy Matchless, Holy, Sovereign and Blessed Name, Ahmayn !!! (It is HE who shall bring it to pass)

Verse of the Day 1/24/2012 "Work"

The Artisans Called by God
"And Moses said to the children of Israel, “See, the LORD has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;  and He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and understanding, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold and silver and bronze,"

Exodus 35:30-32 NKJV

I pray that every person called to serve in the Kingdom of God will be filled with the Spirit of God and wisdom and understanding in knowledge of the assignment that called them to.

Verse of the day 12/24/2012 "Work"

"Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.  Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made."
